Off Campus Access (VPN)

The VPN (Virtual Private Network) Service, allows students and staff secure access to University resources from off-campus by using the Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client service.

How does it work?

The AnyConnect Client is an app that connects your laptop or computer to the University’s network from anywhere, as long as you are connected to the internet.

All of your Internet traffic goes through the VPN to Loughborough, allowing you access to University internet based resources which could otherwise be restricted to on-campus use only.

To connect to the VPN you will be required to use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). For details on how to enrol your mobile device with Duo Mobile app, please visit lboro.ac.uk/mfa.

When connected to the VPN you are bound by the University's IT Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). Please remember to disconnect when you are finished.
