Take part in Neurodiversity Week!

Neurodiversity week is on 16-20th March and to celebrate we are asking people to send short clips (5 seconds - a minute) of how they support neurodiversity. To take part, just take out your smart phone and film yourself (in landscape mode please!) You can make all of the statements / answer all questions below, or select whichever you prefer:

Statement:

“I am (name), I work in (department/job) / study (course) and I support neurodiversity.”

OR

“I am (name), I work in (department/job) / study (course) and I have x. I support neurodiversity.”

Definition:

“Neurodiversity embraces the fact that no two brains are the same and they will all work differently to one another. It encourages you to celebrate and support our differences in processing information. Differences can include: Dyslexia, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Condition, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia and Tourette Syndrome.”

Questions:

∙ What challenges have you come across? (Could be to do with everyday activities, learning at school, common misconceptions.) If you are happy to, please explain how your condition presents to you.

∙ What strengths do you feel you have due to your neurological differences?

Please message your video via email (c.e.r.tidmarsh-brown@lboro.ac.uk)

If you have any questions or problems with sending the video over please email the above address.
