We are currently recruiting 18-40 year old recreationally-active individuals for a study investigating transmission of movement commands from brain neurons to muscle fibres. The aim of the study is also to develop a fully automated algorithm for analysis of brain-to-muscle connection that will aid in better understanding of the neuromuscular system and therefore improve guiding of rehabilitation, training of athletes, and serve as a possible marker for early detection and objective monitoring of numerous neuromuscular disorders.
The study involves three visits to the laboratory (one familiarisation session of approx. 45 mins and two 2-hour experimental sessions) in Matthew Arnold Building.
Please email Dr Jakob Skarabot (J.Skarabot@lboro.ac.uk) for further information if you are interested in participating.
