PARTICIPANTS NEEDED for a VIRTUAL REALITY STUDY
We are currently looking for participants for a virtual reality study investigating pedestrians’ behaviour in different traffic scenes. The ultimate aim of the study is to improve the design of external of human-machine interfaces for automated vehicles communication with pedestrians.
The team is looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Live in the UK
- Aged 18-65
- Have normal or corrected-to-normal vision
- Have normal motor skills
- Have no medical history of epilepsy and/or panic attacks.
The session will take about 90-120 minute and will take place at the Human Factors Lab, LDS 0.16, Loughborough Design School. During the session, you will be asked to wear a virtual reality headset which will allow you to experience and move in different traffic scenarios created in virtual reality. You will be asked to complete some paper-based questionnaires in between each trial. Once the virtual reality experiment is over, there will be a quick interview discussing some of the aspects regarding your experience with the virtual reality scenarios previously experienced.
Snacks will be provided during the sessions and you be able to take frequent breaks.
