Facilities Management Notice of Works - Wolfson T Building Windows
WHY DOES THE WORK NEED TO BE DONE?
Due to current Health and Safety observations and the aged fabric of the building, it is now critical to start the replacement of windows. Not all zones/elevations on the building are being done in this phase, it is only half of Zone 1 and all of Zone 2. For details on the zones, please see the supporting attached documentation.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS TO STUDENTS AND STAFF OF THE UNIVERSITY?
A safer and more energy efficient addition to the building which aids the usage of the building.
Works will commence from Tuesday 18th December 2018 and will end mid-March 2019 and will consist of scaffold erection, which will cover the entrance (still allowing access) and a storage container and waste skip, placed on the main road occupying part of one lane on the dual carriageway outside of the Wolfson building and towards the direction of Ashby Road.
HOW WILL THE WORKS AFFECT ME?
There will be some disruption to individual offices and labs whilst windows are being removed and installed, however the full phased detail will be issued by Simon Fawcett or Mark Taylor to respective parties.
