Events to mark LGBT+ in STEM Week (14th-18th November)

Wednesday 16th: 'Queering the Curriculum'
Time: 1.30-3.30pm
Location: West Park Teaching Hub
Description: Join the Pro Vice-Chancellor for EDI and academics from Loughborough and Sheffield Hallam for a panel discussion and Q&A on gendered spaces and public health research liable to homophobia. This event is followed by a social in the Students' Union from 5pm.

Thursday 17th: Safeguarding LGBT+ Research Workshop
Time: 11am-12pm
Location: Sir David Davies (DAV1106)
Description: Join Doctoral Researchers from the University of Leeds as they present their research on challenges faced by the LGBT+ community, and reflect on the barriers to engagement in research.

Thursday 17th: Wellbeing Walk to Campus Observatory
Time: 6-7pm
Location: STEMLab
Description: Join colleagues from the School of Science as they explore the importance of rainbows in astrophysics, before a walk and guided tour of campus' very own observatory. Due to the access to the observatory, this activity is not suitable for wheelchair users.

All events are free to attend, with no booking required.
