August Contact Centre – Paid work available
In August 2019 the Admissions Office will again be running a dedicated Confirmation and Clearing Contact Centre to handle the large volume of telephone calls it receives from undergraduate students. A number of Call Handlers are required to assist with the answering of telephone calls from students who have applied to the University and who are querying their admission following publication of the A level results; as well as students who have not applied to the University, but are enquiring about a possible offer through Clearing.
The Contact Centre will operate for a short, intense period over the A level publication date, namely:
• Thursday 15 August (7.30am – 6.00pm*)
• Friday 16 August (8.00am – 5.00pm*)
*Exact times to be confirmed
A compulsory half day training session will take place on the afternoon of Wednesday 7 or the morning of Thursday 8 August.
We are looking for people to act as Contact Centre Call Handlers who have first-hand experience of the UCAS admissions process, and who are, or were recently, Loughborough University students. Call Handlers need to have a clear speaking voice and be completely fluent in English, as well as be friendly and engaging, and good ambassadors for Loughborough University. The pace will be fast and exciting, and you will be playing a key part in the start of many students’ Loughborough journey.
The rate of pay will be £9.23 per hour.
