Working safely at home
Following recent Government announcements and the prospect of many of us at Loughborough having to work from home during the current Coronavirus crisis, the University Health and Safety Service has put together some general guidance on how staff can set up a safe working office environment. (See attached)
The University would also like remind you that when working at home, you can assess your workstation at home using the online Healthy Working DSE training and assessment tool. The link is; https://bit.ly/2qSNmtQ.
We will endeavour to provide any support we can over the phone (Tel; 222181). However, whilst the crisis is ongoing this portal should be used as a self-help service designed to provide you with advice in order to enable you to identify any easily achievable risk reduction measures. Any more complex problems will have to be dealt with when the general situation returns to some semblance of normality.
Furthermore, and to assist you further, IT Services have issued “Working From Home Top Tips”. https://www.lboro.ac.uk/services/it/staff/help/working-from-home-top-tips/.
