REF declaration of COVID-19 impacts on research productivity

Staff being submitted to the REF are now able to declare COVID-19 related circumstances that have negatively affected their ability to research productively up until 31 July 2020 (the REF deadline for such circumstances). Please note that REF’s timescale for COVID-specific circumstances, March-July 2020, means that declarations are unlikely to have an impact on our REF submission unless declared by individuals with existing circumstances. However, all declarations are welcomed and we will offer support to those requesting it regardless of REF. Please declare all circumstances (COVID and non-COVID related) via the Individual Staff Circumstances Declaration Form. Please note that support is also available from your Dean if you feel that COVID-19 has had an impact on your work or wellbeing at work.
