PLANNED RESURFACING WORKS AND TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE OF A6004 EPINAL WAY/ALAN MOSS ROAD/A512 ASHBY ROAD/HOSPITAL WAY/HAYDON ROAD & GARENDON ROAD, LOUGHBOROUGH
Monday 25 September – Friday 3 November 2023 (not including Saturday and Sunday evenings)
8.00 p.m. until 6.00 a.m.
Planned carriageway resurfacing works by LCC.
Access to and from Hospital Way including the ’24 hour Urgent Care Centre’ will always be maintained, however, traffic management will change as the works progress through each phase. This will be clearly signed from each approach and Traffic Marshals will be on hand to help.
The Fire and Ambulance Station will also have 24 hour access in and out.
Bus stop services on Epinal Way adjacent to the Hospital (southbound) and Fire Station (northbound) will be directly affected after 8.00 p.m. (Monday – Friday) as well as other stops around the closure. Please check with the bus operator before travelling. For further information see www.arrivabus.co.uk.
Through traffic will be diverted and traffic marshals will be on site to direct local traffic and assist access to properties. Please refer to the plan at https://www.leicestershire.gov.uk/roads-and-travel/road-maintenance for information on the phased closure extents and further details.
Please be mindful that this work will involve the movements of large plant and machinery within the carriageway, including reversing manoeuvres. New road surfaces are very hot when first laid and take precautions when accessing via vehicles, cycles or on foot.
