Known issue: Cisco Jabber

There has been a campus-wide issue with Cisco Jabber this morning where a “Verify Certificate” prompt appears to access a non-valid certificate (see attachment).

ACTION REQUIRED (optional)
A workaround has been put in place on the backend systems to stop this happening. If you are presented with the verify certificate message and want to implement the workaround, please carry out the following instructions:

Please note THESE INSTRUCTIONS MAY CAUSE YOU TO LOSE PREVIOUS JABBER CHAT MESSAGES & CUSTOM ADDED CONTACTS.

1. Close the message with the accept decline button by clicking the cross in the top right of the message box.
2. From Cisco Jabber, click the gear icon and choose Sign out.
3. From the Sign In page, click Reset Jabber. Click Reset and sign back in with your username and password (if off-campus or not on the VPN you will need to use @lboro.ac.uk after your username).
