How does the inflammatory profile of lean and obese individuals differ?

We are specifically looking for FOUR more obese participants to take part in our study. We are looking for males and females with a BMI over 30 and a waist circumference over 102 cm for men and 88 cm for women. If you are unsure of your measurements that’s no problem, we can check this in the lab for you.

Our study will involve you visiting the laboratory on 3 occasions. This will include a screening visit to double check you fit the criteria (1 hour), a pre-test visit (30 min) and a single study visit (1.5 hours). During the study visit we will collect a single blood sample and small stomach fat sample.

At the end of the study, we will provide you with feedback about the main study findings and you will receive body composition and fasting insulin and glucose measurements if you'd like to.

If you would like more information or are interested in taking part, please get in touch: r.dewhurst-trigg@lboro.ac.uk
