DESCRIPTION OF THE WORKS

Electrical isolation of the above Substation to carry out planned maintenance works.

WHY DOES THE WORK NEED TO BE DONE/WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS TO STUDENTS AND STAFF OF THE UNIVERSITY?

The work is being carried out to ensure that the high voltage switchgear is fully maintained and serviced, to ensure the integrity of the switchgear and transformer on the University electrical network.

TIMESCALE

Monday 18th May 2020 6.30am – 10.30am

HOW WILL THE WORKS AFFECT ME?

There will be no power to the buildings listed below for the duration of the works. The fire alarms will still be operational as they work on a battery for up to 8 hours.
