Get ready for UNISONs winter coach trip to Straford-Upon-Avon for their annual V
The Christmas trip to the historic streets of Stratford-Upon-Avon is bound to be filled with seasonal joy and, fingers crossed, a winter wonderland of fun. The market, boasting around 150 unique stalls, will be full of joy, colour, sounds and the tantalising aroma of Christmas.
Along with stalls filled with street food, there will be an abundance of seasonal foods to delight the taste buds. Including traditional roast turkey, roasted pig and stuffing, pulled pork and chipolatas.
Wandering the streets you will find an abundance of seasonal gifts and entertainment. Heralds of choirs will be singing, musical entertainers will be wandering the streets, and dancers will be delighting the crowds, all being displayed under Stratford’s well known Christmas light display.
Jump bank in time as you view the chimney sweeps and Victorian street walkers making their way along the historic avenues, each stall you come across hosting characters reminiscent from a Charles Dickens novel. Not to forget the unforgettable ride on the beautiful Victorian Carousel where wonder meets imagination. You would really believe that you’ve travelled back to the 18th century.
The coach will pick up on Towers Way, adjacent to the ball courts, at 10am and leave Strafford-Upon-Avon at 6pm.
All proceeds from the trip will be donated to Rainbows, £10 per person concessions available for UNISON members.
