NOTICE OF DEVELOPMENT WORKS

Wolfson ‘T’ Building, Window Replacement to Two Zones on the front façades of the
building – please see attached layout drawing.

WHY DOES THE WORK NEED TO BE DONE?
Due to current Health and Safety observations and the aged fabric of the building it is now
critical to start the replacement of windows. Not all zones/elevations on the building are
being done in this phase it is only half of Zone 1 and all of Zone 2. For details on the zones
please see the supporting documentation.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS TO STUDENTS AND STAFF OF THE UNIVERSITY?
A safer and more energy efficient addition to the building which aids the usage of the building.

TIMESCALE?
Works will commence from 10 December 2018 and will end mid-March 2019 and will
consist of scaffold erection, which will cover the entrance (still allowing access) and a
storage container and waste skip, placed on the main road occupying part of one lane on
the dual carriage way outside of the Wolfson building and towards the direction of Ashby
Lane.

HOW WILL THE WORKS AFFECT ME?
There will be some disruption to individual offices and labs whilst windows are being removed
and installed, however the full phased detail will be issued by the Hall Manager (Simon
Fawcett or Mark Taylor) to respective parties.
