Get top tips on research communication from former BBC Science Editor David Shukman

Broadcaster and writer David Shukman will be sharing his advice on communicating research at a special in-person event on Friday May 26.

Open to Doctoral Researchers, Research Associates, Research Fellows and Senior Research Fellows, the talk will provide an insight into David’s work as a leading journalist and tips on how to share your research with the media. There will also be a short question and answer session to close the event.

The former BBC Science Editor is widely recognised as a master storyteller about the biggest environmental challenges of our time – from global warming to the loss of nature to sustainable living for the future.

Over a career that’s involved assignments to more than 100 countries, David has built up a reputation for clarity, accessibility, and narrative power. According to the BBC, where he was a senior journalist for nearly 40 years, he is “a voice of credibility and authority”, and his role in elevating the profile of climate change is described as “ground-breaking”.

Places for the talk, which will run on Friday 26 May from 10.30-11.30am at Graduate House on the Loughborough campus, are limited and available on a first come first served basis. To reserve a place please use the links below:
