More Talk and Action: Men’s Wellbeing Workshop

The University are offering staff a workshop focused on improving men’s wellbeing.

This workshop offers a safe space in which men can talk about the challenges they face and learn practical tools to improve their health, wellbeing and coping strategies.

The session will explore ways to overcome the stigma and shame that often leads men to ignore their mental and physical health until it’s too late. It will be interactive, including a group discussion, team activities and some self-reflection.

During the workshop, the following topics will be explored:

  • Men’s health and having a health MOT
  • Where do we go wrong?
  • The link between money and mental health
  • Boosting good behaviours
  • Managing worry and problem-solving
  • Thinking well
  • Talk in action

The workshop will run on two dates, an in-person session on 12 June, and an online session, on 8 November.

Book your place online via my.HR.
