The Summer Showcase is a free, vibrant, half-day (9.30am-1.30pm) event that brings doctoral researchers together from across the University to share their work with those outside their immediate discipline areas.
This year’s Summer Showcase will include the University’s Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) Grand Final featuring the winners of each School 3MT® competition, a poster exhibition, a creative gallery, and an interactive exhibition.
For the creative gallery, Doctoral Researchers are encouraged to unleash their imaginations to express their work/research experiences using creative methods. For example, this could involve baked goods, sculpture, crochet, knitting, poem/song writing, drawing, storyboarding, newscasting, photography, animation, dramatisation, puppeteering, computer simulation, and so much more.
The interactive exhibition provides an opportunity for Doctoral Researchers to share activities/outputs related to their research that attendees can engage with. For example, this could include research equipment/measures or something that has been created as part of a research project.
There are lots of prizes to be won and the event promises to be educational and a lot of fun.
The closing date to express interest in showcasing research is 1 June 2023 with bookings opening soon after.
