Practice Exam Experiences

We recognise that some of you may have not sat in-person exams at the University before, or might like a refresher of what the experience is like. To help you prepare for these we wanted to make you aware of some upcoming events which we are running to support you with in-person exams.

Our Exam Hall Experience is open to all students and is designed to help you to familiarise yourself with the main exam venue. We particularly recommend this event for students who haven’t sat an in-person exam at Loughborough before. Interactive tours will run throughout the afternoon of Friday 13 January, which will include a run-through of what will happen on the day of your exam, guidance about what you should do if you have an issue during your exam and an opportunity for you to ask any questions which you may have. We are also planning to have a designated number of desks available if you wish to practice working in the exam venue and replicate what the experience might be like.

If you receive a reasonable adjustment, we have an Open House Experience of our Brockington and Wavy Top venues on the afternoon of Thursday 12 January, to provide you with the opportunity to tour the spaces where you will be sitting your Semester 1 in-person exams, and to speak with someone to discuss any questions you might have.

Specific tour times and more details about what you can expect at both events are available on the Practice Exam Experience webpage, and we encourage you to incorporate these into your revision activity so that you are best prepared for what will happen on the day of your in-person exams. Further information about both your online and in-person exams can be found in the Student Handbook.
