Staff and students invited to upcoming EDI Town Halls

Professor Charlotte Croffie, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at Loughborough, will be hosting a series of upcoming Town Hall sessions over the coming weeks.

In the sessions, Charlotte will share the emerging vision for EDI at Loughborough University and highlight the importance it plays in the University Strategy. There will then be an opportunity for attendees to share their feedback and ask questions. The sessions will then form part of the development of the EDI Core Plan which underpins the University Strategy.

Professor Charlotte Croffie commented: “Equity, Diversity and Inclusion is multifaceted and a highly sensitive area. It can also be incredibly rewarding especially when various communities work, study, live and learn together across diverse settings and disciplines. Since joining Loughborough in September 2022, I have spent a lot of time getting to know the Loughborough communities and understanding the practices and processes. I have been fortunate to see first-hand how EDI is perceived through a diverse lens. This has helped to shape my thinking and approach to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at Loughborough.

“The Town Hall is a crucial step in the ongoing journey towards promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion by bringing individuals together to raise awareness and support engagement with EDI using a wide range of platforms, helping us Create Better Futures. Together. I look forward to using this platform to share some of these insights with you.”

The Town Halls will be taking place on the following dates:
