The works are scheduled to go ahead on Monday 27 February 2023 for up to one night. Road closures will be from 8pm until 6pm. Due to the nature of these works, vehicular access to/from halls of residence is not possible, exceptions will be made for emergency services only. A signed diversion will be in place for traffic, via Epinal Way, Forest Road and Snells Nook Lane and vice versa.

Access to Cotswold Close will be limited, any persons seeking access will approach the works from the Schofield Road end and liaise with marshals on site. Pedestrian access will not be affected. However, pedestrians wishing to cross the carriageway must seek assistance from operatives on site or use the designated crossing point near the Students’ Union complex.

Whilst LCC has risk assessments in place, they will require cooperation from the University community to ensure there are no breaches in health and safety, as the site will have continuous movement of heavy vehicles, chemicals and hot materials.

Please note there will be some level of noise and disruption. This is unavoidable; however, efforts will be made to keep this to a minimum. The date provided for these works are as firm as possible but could be subject to change due to poor weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. During the works, it is inevitable that some disruption may be caused, and LCC apologises in advance for any inconvenience.
