Join us at the next Personal Best event as alumna shares her insights on digital skills, taking risks, and making tough decisions

The next Personal Best talk celebrates International Women’s Day by welcoming alumna Aisha Adedeji, who is passionate about finance and marketing and will be sharing her career journey so far.

Aisha graduated with a BSc degree in Banking Finance and Management in 2015 and began her career in banking. Having spent time as a Relationship Director at a large bank, Aisha took some time out to focus on her side hustles before joining a payments fintech.

Until recently, Aisha worked as the community management lead at PaceUP Invest, a financial empowerment and independence platform. Her responsibilities in this role included creating multimedia content for the PaceUP Invest community portal and other communications channels.

She is the Co-Founder of The Hustle Table, a platform set up to discuss themes such as ambition and money management, as well as side hustles. Aisha supports people by providing career coaching, money management and finance coaching, and runs a YouTube channel covering related themes. She is also a member of the University’s Alumni Advisory Board and teaches maths in her free time.

In her Personal Best talk, Aisha will discuss how she has navigated her career so far, with a particular focus on the importance of her digital skills. She also has experience working outside of the UK, currently spending some time in Nigeria. She’s an advocate of risk-taking, learning lessons, and making tough decisions and will touch on themes relating to workplace skills and global citizenship.

The event takes place at 1pm on Wednesday 8 March and is being held in SMB017. Attendees can also join virtually via MS Teams. There will be a free buffet available for in-person attendees from 12.30pm outside the venue.

Book your place now. Staff members are also welcome to attend and can register their place by completing this MS Form.
