Loughborough to mark the end of LGBT+ History Month with illumination of Hazlerigg building

This evening (Tuesday 28 February) the University will celebrate a fantastic month marking LGBT+ History Month with a gathering at the Students’ Union followed by a vibrant illumination of the Hazlerigg building in rainbow colours.

The event begins at 5.15pm in The Lounge (located on the ground floor of the Students’ Union), where guests can help themselves to light refreshments whilst listening to words of reflection from representatives of the LGBT+ Staff Network and the LGBT+ Student Association, along with a member of the University Senior Leadership Team.

Attendees will also be able to view the artistic projects unveiled across the month, including the Community Portrait series, Ginsberg bios, and the reflections on this year’s annual theme, Behind the Lens.

From 6.10pm, guests will gather by the Hazlerigg-Rutland fountain for a countdown of the illumination across the Hazlerigg building, before being invited back to The Lounge for more food and drinks.

The event is free to attend, and those who wish to attend should book their place online.
