Staff Inclusivity Group announces new support offering for members at monthly meetings

“Diversity is being invited to the party; inclusion is being asked to dance.” – Verna Myers

At Loughborough University, we are proud of our inclusive culture.

Our greatest strength is our uniqueness, and by embracing diversity we can truly value new perspectives and experiences.

The Staff Inclusivity Group champions disability and inclusivity and strives to challenge issues that arise in the workplace for staff with physical or hidden disabilities, suggesting practical solutions to create a safe and accessible environment by means of forward-thinking strategies.

We have taken the decision to dedicate the monthly meeting to our group members, providing a secure and confidential environment for them to express their thoughts and feelings, and boost resilience through mutual support, so we may all be empowered to connect, belong and thrive in our work.

The Staff Inclusivity Group Chair Emma Nadin will continue to be committed to strategic planning and will report on progress through the usual channels.

If you would like to join the Staff Inclusivity Group and feel that sense of belonging, please contact Emma by emailing staffinclusivitygroup@lboro.ac.uk.

To quote Coca-Cola’s inclusive statement: “We are smart alone, but together we are genius.”
