Upcoming wellbeing sessions in October

Student Wellbeing and Inclusivity are offering a range of wellbeing sessions for students and Doctoral Researchers.

Doctoral Researcher sessions

These sessions focus on issues and concerns that may arise as a Doctoral Researcher and will take place in Graduate House:

  • Imposter phenomenon, 12 October, 3pm-4.30pm
  • Self-compassion: 19 October, 3pm-4pm
  • Self-care: 27 October, 3pm-4pm

Support group for Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic and International Students

This peer-led support group offers a safe space to share, listen and learn about each other’s experiences whilst studying at Loughborough. The group will meet at the following times:

  • 13 October, 1pm-2pm
  • 20 October, 1pm-2pm
  • 24 October, 1pm-2pm
  • 31 October, 1pm-2pm

Lifting mood and motivation

When we are experiencing low mood, we can often experience decreased motivation. This can lead us to getting less done and getting stuck in a cycle of the less we do, the worse we feel. This session aims to look at how to break the cycle and improve your mood:

  • 13 October, 3pm-4.30pm

Creative wellbeing series

This series of workshops will include talks from wellbeing practitioners from the NHS Vitaminds service, advisers from the Wellbeing team and local artists:

  • 20 October, 3pm-4pm
  • 27 October, 3pm-4pm

ADHD Screening workshop

This workshop aims to help participants decide if they need to pursue a diagnostic assessment and what the most suitable assessment/diagnostic route is for them:

  • 25 October, 10.30am-12pm

Support for care experienced students

This session offers care experienced students the opportunity to learn about the support available to them and meet others with similar experiences:

  • 25 October, 11am-12pm
  • 26 October, 11am-12pm
