Known issue with campus Wi-Fi and wired networks

The University is still experiencing intermittent network connectivity, which is affecting the phone network in some parts of the campus.

This is due to a problem with a specific device that controls the way devices connect to the network and is affecting both the wired and wireless networks. IT Services are working with the supplier to stabilise our network and resolve the issue as soon as possible.

Following a network outage, devices physically connected (wired) will start working again first, followed by Wi-Fi devices which may take up to 30 minutes to reconnect.

During an outage you should still be able to access email, MS Teams, Learn, and other services using your mobile phone data.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Status updates will be posted to the Service Availability page on the IT Services website.
