Ethics Review Process: New training for all academic staff now available

A new online mandatory training module is now available for all academic staff.

Following an announcement about the changes to the University’s ethics review process last month, the short course has been developed and is ready to access on Learn.

The training has been split into two parts:

1)      Course 1: Introduction to Ethics – Mandatory training for all academic staff 

2)      Course 2: Engaging with the University’s Ethics Review Process – Additional training for staff supervising undergraduate and postgraduate projects involving human participants.

Access the training now. 

Virtual and in-person drop-in sessions related to the new process will be taking place on the following dates:

In-person sessions

  • Tuesday 25 October, 11.30am-1.30pm: Room 1.31, NCSEM Building
  • Tuesday 25 October, 3pm-5pm: Room SMB010, Stuart Mason Building
  • Tuesday 1 November, 12pm-2pm: DAV1100, Sir Frank Gibb Building

Online briefing and Q&A

  • Friday 28 October, 2pm: This will be a brief introduction to the training with a Q&A session afterwards. Join the meeting
