Dramatic writing mentoring opportunity

Are you a budding writer interested in writing scripts for stage, film or television?

LU Arts is offering a free programme of mentoring for any undergraduate or postgraduate student, led by successful writer, dramaturg and lecturer in Creative Writing, Carolyn Scott Jeffs.

The mentoring will provide you with knowledge of how to develop your writing and gain visibility within the industry. You will have the opportunity to develop ideas for scripts and receive feedback on drafts. There will be four mentoring sessions across the year and it will be between you and Carolyn when those sessions take place, either on Zoom or in Carolyn’s office. Applicants must commit to deadlines for each draft and meeting.

There are only two places available so interested students should apply explaining why they want to have this opportunity (350 words) and should include a 500-word synopsis of the idea they want to develop.

The deadline for expressions of interest is Wednesday 2 November. To apply please send the above to luarts@lboro.ac.uk.
