Loughborough Gold raw honey sale coming soon: Treat your loved ones to a sweet treat this Christmas

Whether you’re looking for a scrumptious spread to put on your toast or you’re still on the hunt to buy a unique Christmas gift this year, save the date for the University’s Loughborough Gold raw honey sale on Monday, 21 November.

Loughborough Gold is an exclusive and luxurious product made by the University’s very own honeybees, who were welcomed to the Loughborough campus in 2013 in a bid to support the declining population whilst increasing pollination and biodiversity.

Our apiary volunteers have worked hard throughout the year to look after the bees and to harvest the honey over the summer months ready to be jarred and sold to staff, students and the local community.

Honey will be available for staff and students to purchase on the University Online Shop. To make a purchase, you are required to register an account beforehand. Alternatively, external customers can visit our Herbert Manzoni Building counter on the Loughborough campus where we will be holding a limited stock quantity for sale. Sales will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.

The sale will launch on Monday 21 November – but be quick, as there is only a limited number of jars available!

The  honey costs £6 for a 1/2lb jar, and the money collected from the sale will be reimbursed into looking after our 12 colonies of honeybees.

Please note there is a limit of two jars per person. Online Shop customers will be contacted after making their purchase to let them know their order is ready to be collected from the Herbert Manzoni Building counter. If you have any queries regarding collection, please email creativeandprint@lboro.ac.uk. Due to the delicate nature of this product, delivery is not possible.
