Whether it’s an event to improve the student experience for Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic students, an initiative created for Black undergraduate students to progress onto a postgraduate qualification at Loughborough, or designing a platform to educate and inform the Loughborough community about how we can be an anti-racist and inclusive institution, there are many ideas and suggestions that may be eligible for funding.
The Race Action Plan Monitoring and Oversight Group has approved and outlined the following budget principles and processes below:

In order to apply for REC/LURES budget, you must complete the REC/LURES budget proforma in full: REC Budget Proforma

Planned activity for the budget should be identified from the outset and clearly included in your budget application

Any requests for REC/LURES budget should link to one or more key priorities for the financial year

REC/LURES budget submissions are being accepted until 2 December

In February, if there is REC/LURES budget remaining, those with existing projects will be contacted to determine whether you would benefit from additional budget

In March, if there is budget remaining and it is not required to further current activity, we will accept additional bids where these align with REC/LURES activity

Bids will be considered by no fewer than three people, including the EDI Manager or representative and one or more members of the Race Action Plan Monitoring and Oversight Group.
