Festival assistants required for the British Science Festival in September

The British Science Association is recruiting for a team of organised and enthusiastic individuals with a variety of different skills to support and run the exciting programme of events at this year's Festival which will be held in Leicester from 13-17 September, hosted by De Montfort University.

Several paid roles are available which may be of interest for those with an interest in public understanding of science, or event management.

The British Science Festival is Europe’s longest-standing festival, which aims to connect people with scientists, engineers, technologists, and social scientists. This year, events will be held on the De Montfort University campus, as well as at venues across the city, offering over 100 free activities for nearby residents. Several Loughborough University researchers are contributing to the programme.

Duration: 13-17 September 2022, plus training days (9 September for Festival Assistants; 8-9 September for Building Managers)

Core Hours: Hours vary depending on the role 

Location: De Montfort University campus and/or Leicester city centre

Rate: £9.90/hour (Festival Assistants); £10.90/hour (Building Managers)
