The Strategy is an ambitious plan that outlines the University’s goals for the next phase of its development and will be a framework that shapes and guides the activity of all colleagues over the next decade.  

It sets out our purpose, our values and our aims. It describes our strategic priorities and what we are trying to achieve, whilst recognising the importance of our external influence on the world around us, and the need to work together to achieve our ambitions and provide solutions to challenges that we face as a society. 

To showcase our new Strategy, we’d like to invite all colleagues to join us at our upcoming launch event at the Loughborough campus on Wednesday 18 May. 

At the event, you’ll find out more about our three institutional themes and discover the inspiring work already taking place across our institution in these areas. You’ll learn more about how you can contribute to the Strategy as well as the impact we’re already making as a University.   

From finding out your carbon footprint and understanding how your role can be more sustainable to meeting our Wellbeing Champions and seeing what health and wellbeing resources and activities are available to you as a staff member, there’ll be stands with more information about what our new Strategy is all about.   

The event will take place in the James France Exhibition Area and includes an opportunity to attend a short presentation from our Senior Leadership Team – scheduled at 9.15am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm. Colleagues are welcome to stay for as little or as long as they’d like; if for any reason you are unable to join one of our presentations, please feel free to drop into the Exhibition Area at any time to find out more about Creating Better Futures. Together.  

So come along to find out more about what our exciting new Strategy entails and take the opportunity to share your own ideas for our future too. There will be refreshments available and staff members on hand throughout the day to answer your questions.
