Planned maintenance: Cisco Jabber requiring VPN access on Wednesday 9 March

IT Services will be performing essential maintenance on the infrastructure supporting the use of the Cisco Jabber software between 9am-12pm on Wednesday 9 March.

This maintenance is required to address a security vulnerability identified by the software vendor.

On-campus

If you are on Loughborough or London campus, the Cisco Jabber service will operate as normal. No action is required, and no service downtime is expected.

Off-campus

If attempting to access Cisco Jabber from off-campus without using a VPN, the service may disconnect or fail to connect. Therefore, to access the service you will be required to connect via the *VPN.

This will affect Cisco Jabber on all supported platforms: Windows, macOS, Android, iPhoneOS and iPadOS

If telephony services are essential to your work, please ensure you have installed, configured and tested the VPN software before Wednesday morning.
