LSU Action needs your help: Donations wanted for Ukrainian refugees

LSU Action are working in collaboration with St Mary’s Catholic Church to donate items to refugees from Ukraine.

Several donation points are currently located around the Loughborough campus for staff and students to drop off items. These can be found at the following locations:

-          Loughborough Students’ Union

-          Advanced Technology Innovation Centre Café

-          Sport Park Foyer

-          Charnwood Building Café

-          West Park Teaching Hub Café

-          Sir David Davies Café

-          S Building Foyer

-          Wolfson Café

-          Edward Herbert Building Foyer

Please note items in the donation bins will be collected on Friday (11 March). A list of the different types of items wanted can be viewed below.

Toiletries:

  • Toothpaste
  • Toothbrushes
  • Wet wipes
  • Pampers and sanitary towels
  • Paper towels
  • Personal hygiene products

Food:

  • Breakfast cereals
  • Energy bars
  • Dried fruit
  • Pasta
  • Instant Oats
  • Other kinds of instant food (eg foods where boiling water is added)

Medicinal supplies:

  • Painkillers
  • Bandages/Dressings
  • Liquid for disinfecting wounds
  • Medical spirit
  • Antibacterial fluid
  • Tourniquets to stop blood
  • Disposable and reusable masks

Miscellaneous items

  • Thermal blankets
  • Sleeping bags
  • Mats
