Staff support needed for upcoming University events

This summer, the University has a number of large-scale events due to take place on campus which require staff support from across the institution.

This support would be in the form of operational roles, such as queue management and welcoming and directing guests.

Queen’s Baton Relay, Monday 11 July

The Queen’s Baton Relay for the Commonwealth Games will be travelling through the Loughborough campus on 11 July 2022. The baton will start from Hazlerigg before heading to Towers Way and Shirley Pearce Square.

Staff volunteers are required to support this event during the day (between the hours of 9am-4pm). Those who are interested and have approval from their line manager are asked to complete this online form before Friday 1 July.

Summer Graduation,  19-22 July

Help is required from colleagues to support our summer graduation celebrations from Tuesday 19 July – Friday 22 July 2022.

A full briefing document will be provided ahead of each event which will provide further information on what is expected of you and key information you need to know about.

Those who are interested and have approval from their line manager are asked to complete this online form to select times and dates they can support before Friday 1 July.

Please note that these opportunities are not classed as volunteering days and they would be expected to be undertaken as part of a staff member’s normal working day. If you have any questions, please contact the Events Team via email at events@lboro.ac.uk.
