Applications for artist placements at the University now open

As part of the national Artists Access to Art Colleges (AA2A) project, the School of Design and Creative Arts is offering four placement opportunities for the 2022/23 academic year, starting from October.

The placements will provide practitioners with the chance to undertake research or work on a project using the University’s workshops and supporting facilities for up to 100 hours.

The School proudly boasts a range of facilities and equipment suitable to support printmaking, ceramics, digital media, performance, photography, painting, plus many more fine art practices.

A previous Loughborough AA2A creative commented: The best part of AA2A was the opportunity to access workshops, where technical tutors were so generous with their ideas and suggestions, and the sharing of skills. They made me feel so welcome. Being on AA2A has helped raise my profile and enabled me to work on collaborative projects with university researchers."

If you are interested in applying, please email ugarts@lboro.ac.uk. The deadline for all applications is Sunday 4 September. AA2A welcomes applications from those with disabilities, from culturally diverse backgrounds, and non-graduates.
