Let’s Talk Loughborough helps you through the exam season

The latest episode of the University’s podcast focuses on everything you need to know on preparing for and taking your exams with insight from staff and recent graduates.

Graduate Management Trainee, Tara Nadi, and Wellbeing Adviser, Lydia Leney, discuss the practical elements of taking online exams and the wellbeing support the University provides. Topics including how to upload your exam paper, academic misconduct and how to manage exam anxiety are covered in the first half of the podcast.

Co-hosts, Jemima and Soph then talk to recent graduates Abbie, Ruqayya and James about how they motivated themselves to revise, their favourite treats to reward a good study session and how they organised their time during their degree.

Abbie said: “It is important to stick in your own lane. It is easy to want to know how much revision other people have done or take comfort in knowing someone else hasn’t really revised. Just focus on you because you’re only losing energy worrying about if someone has done more than you.”

At the end of the podcast, University Chaplain Natalie Steel leads you through a guided reflection and relaxation to help bring a sense of calm to your day.

Let’s Talk Loughborough is available to listen to on all mainstream podcast platforms including Apple Podcasts and Spotify. It can also be viewed on the University’s YouTube channel

The University also has a dedicated exam support webpage where you can find many of the resources discussed in this episode.
