Develop sustainability in your area with access to the EAUC

The EAUC (the Alliance for Sustainability Leadership in Education) is a membership organisation with a passion to create a world with sustainability at its heart.

Its membership comprises higher and further education institutions, responsible for educating more than 4.5 million students and up to half a million staff.

Loughborough University is a member of the EAUC, and anyone within the organisation can access a wide range of expertise and best practice in the sector across the UK and Ireland, whilst also drawing on the experience and inspiring stories of organisations from around the world.

This is all available to access online through the website and webinars, as well as via the Communities of Practice group who meet throughout the year. In addition, there are mailing lists and discussions groups that focus on subjects of interest.

Depending on your function and interest, resources are focused on four key areas:

  • Leadership Staff and Governance
  • Campus Community and Operations
  • Partnerships, society and Engagement
  • Learning, Research and Students

The Sustainability team at Loughborough work closely with the EAUC and are delighted to announce that the EAUC Annual Conference will be held at the University in November. This hopes to be the first opportunity for everyone with an interest both personal and professional to meet together for networking, discussion, inspirational talks, workshops and much more. Further information will be shared closer to the time.

As the general public’s interest in sustainable practices grows, and the new University Strategy places sustainability as one of its priorities for the coming years, now is a great time to learn more. Those who are interested in accessing any of the resources and events are requested to download the form below and send it to environment@lboro.ac.uk.
