Campus roadworks to take place in East and West Park

Between Monday 19 December 2022 and Friday 6 January 2023, roadworks will be carried out on the Loughborough University campus. This is due to a number of roads which are potholed or in poor condition requiring repair and re-surfacing.

The roads to be repaired in this phase of works are:

  • Full carriageway replacement of University Road West Park outside Stem Lab near West Park Teaching Hub
  • Full carriageway replacement of University Road West Park outside Stem Lab near Sir David Davies Building
  • Full carriageway replacement of University Road West Park outside S Building
  • Full carriageway replacement of University Road outside Sir David Davies Building
  • Full carriageway replacement of Mumford Way to Car Park 2
  • Full carriageway replacement of University Road by Hazlerigg Fountain
  • Full carriageway replacement of University Road outside Haslegrave Building

Roads will be kept open where possible during reinstatement, signage and traffic control placed in the immediate area of the roadwork adjacent to where the operatives will be working. However, there will be temporary road closures whilst road surfaces are removed including temporary diversions.

They will be reopened where possible once the top surface has been removed and projecting ironworks and edges will be made safe, but care must be taken – please maintain a safe distance from the works.

For more information and help, please reach out to the Estates and Facilities Management Helpdesk via telephone (01509 222121), or email (fmhelp@lboro.ac.uk).
