Enactus Loughborough team with VC Nick Jennings

Enactus Loughborough place top ten in national competition

Loughborough’s Enactus team recently finished 10th out of 60 teams across the UK for two of their projects.

Enactus is the world’s largest experiential learning platform dedicated to creating a better world while developing the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders and social innovators. 

The Loughborough team entered the following projects into the national competition:

Unity:

Combatting loneliness in the elderly community by running workshops that teach them how to use technology. This project was also named runner-up in the ASDA Partnership Competition.

Sileo:

This project aims to empower people experiencing homelessness by creating courses focused on digital literacy, supporting self-improvement, and developing valuable skills for employment. Sileo was also given a Youth Action Award and a Community Spirit Award nomination.

Katy Finch, Enactus President 21-22 was also nominated for the Outstanding Contribution Award. She said: "Being on the Enactus Loughborough committee has been an unforgettable experience for me. I really feel like it has prepared me for joining the working world after university. I have met so many new people and developed a wealth of leadership skills.”
