Students: Get your Covid-19 vaccination on campus

We’re strongly encouraging all our students to get the Covid vaccination, so you can enjoy the student life to the full.

There are pop-up clinics at Pilkington Library on the following days:

  • Saturday 9 October, 12 noon-7pm
  • Sunday 10 October, 12 noon-6pm

You should book an appointment via the NHS’s Swiftqueue system.

The vaccine is given in two doses, with the second dose given eight to 12 weeks after the first. Two doses will provide you with stronger and longer-lasting protection. And they’re free of charge no matter which country you’re from. Further information about the vaccines is available on the NHS website.

If you’ve had two doses of the Covid vaccine, and at least 14 days has elapsed since your second dose, you won’t have to isolate if you are identified as a close contact of someone who has tested positive. So if you’re fully vaccinated, you’d be able to continue going to classes, going out, playing sport and meeting up with friends.

You can find further information, and some Frequently Asked Questions, available on our Covid vaccinations webpage.
