Participants needed for study on Black individuals studying or working with chemistry and chemical sciences

The research project, BOND chemistry, is funded by the Royal Society of Chemistry and requires participants to take part in three, hour-long focus groups at their convenience over a six-month period.

This project has three core objectives:

1) to establish a diverse and inclusive chemistry culture by conducting race-related research and creating tailored interventions

2) to help generate well rounded early-career scientists by opening and maintaining transparent communication channels, acknowledging and celebrating community successes and promoting opportunities

3) to help develop well-informed leaders and decision-makers with evidence-based tailored guidance and community-specific support

There are gift baskets for each participant upon completion of their focus group session as well as entry into a prize draw with £500 worth of cash prizes.

More information on the project can be found here.

If you would like to take part in the project please contact Naomi Howard via email: n.s.howard@lboro.ac.uk.
