Information for staff about the Students’ Union Executive Elections

Loughborough Students’ Union’s (LSU) Executive Elections is almost in full swing, with campaigning commencing at the end of this week.

LSU greatly appreciate the support the University and its staff offer to this process, from allowing candidates to speak in lectures, to informing students about the elections.

Whilst interaction and promotion of the executive elections is encouraged, LSU request that no University staff show bias or opposition to any candidates during the election period, to avoid unfairly influencing students during the voting period.

This may include but is not limited to, sending mass emails in support or opposition of specific candidates, putting up public posts on social media in support or opposition of a specific candidate, and offering opportunities to certain candidates that are denied to others.

However, sharing overall elections content from the Union and University channels will be immensely beneficial for the process. If you have any questions, please contact Fejiro Amam at fejiroamam@lsu.co.uk
