Applications now open for Community Sub-Warden positions

Two positions are currently available for existing staff members* and postgraduate students to apply to be a Community Sub-Warden.

The Community Warden team supports around 8,500 students living off-campus, as well as ensuring that good community relations are maintained with all Loughborough residents and that these are being promoted and protected. The team also provides pastoral support to students and helps to ensure that the student experience is excellent.

Those who are interested will need to be a strong team player, have a high level of organisational and interpersonal skills, previous experience working with students, as well as being a resident of Loughborough (or within a 10-minute travel time).

A large proportion of the work will take place in the evenings and weekends, so flexibility is a requirement to ensure you can respond to events promptly. The role is expected to be about eight hours per week, however there are busier and quieter periods throughout the year.

If successful, you’ll receive an honorarium of £2,334.

You can apply for the position here (you may be required to sign in using your staff details on the vacancies page, as this is an internal-only position).

Informal enquiries should be made to Jenny Ardley, Community Warden by email at J.Ardley@lboro.ac.uk or Emma Callaghan, Deputy Community Warden by email at E.L.Callaghan@lboro.ac.uk.

Please note the application closing date is Monday 7 June, and interviews will take place on Monday 21 June.

*This position is not open to Imago Ltd or Cascaid staff.
