What do you #ChoosetoChallenge?

As the global theme for this year’s International Women’s Day, combined with the continuing efforts to make Loughborough University a more inclusive place to be, we are asking members of the Loughborough family to make their own pledge to support equality for all.

A challenged world is a more alert world, and from challenge comes change.

You can use one of our pre-written pledge cards, or alternatively, you can download a blank template and add your own #ChoosetoChallenge message. The pledge cards can be accessed online here.

To add your own message, download the JPEG blank template from the website and open it in ‘Paint’ and click ‘Text’ in the Tools menu.

Share your pledge on your own social channels tagging @lborouniversity or send it to us at digital@lboro.ac.uk. We’ll be showcasing some of the commitments colleagues and students have made to support our wider community at the end of the week.

Don’t forget, there are still plenty of events taking place this week to mark International Women’s Day. From meditation and book clubs to lunchtime keynotes and a boxing class, there’s something for everyone. Find out more and book your place on any of the sessions here.

We’d also love to see as many people as possible join us for the closing event on Friday (12 March) between 12.30pm-1.45pm. You’ll hear about the work of some of our inspiring Doctoral Researchers, share with others the most impactful moments of the week as well as what people have chosen to challenge this year.
