A butterfly campaign will also be run on the HeadsUp Twitter page to mark the day. People draw a butterfly on themselves, create a butterfly badge or wear something with butterflies on to:

  • Raise awareness of support services
  • Support those who have experienced self injury in the past
  • Reduce the stigma surrounding self injury to encourage those who experience it to seek help

You can share photos of your butterflies using the hashtag #SIAD and tagging @lboroheadsup.

If you are a student and have any concerns about your mental health and wellbeing please get in touch with Student Services by completing the online referral form.

If you are a member of staff and have concerns about your mental health and wellbeing, please visit the People and Organisational Development webpage for further support.
