Doctoral Researcher wins Royal Society of Chemistry prize

Xin Yee Tai, a second year Doctoral Researcher in Chemical Engineering, won first prize in the engineering category for their poster as part of the Royal Society of Chemistry’s virtual event.

The #RSCPoster Twitter Conference is held for 24 hours and encourages people to share their research and network with others from across the globe. This year there were over 900 registered attendees from 62 different countries, engaging with each other’s research and learning from each other.

Xin’s poster was on the hybrid AI and kinetics model for the complex chemical system and can be viewed below or the animated version is available here.

On winning they said: “I am absolutely delighted to win. Sharing my research work online was brilliant because I was able to reach hundreds of people and I would definitely join again. I would like to express my gratitude to my amazing supervisors, Jin Xuan, Steve Christie and Raffaella Ocone.”
