Following last year’s success being Highly Commended in the Project of the Year (under £20M) category, this year Loughborough are finalists in categories for: Best Procurement Delivery, Covid-19 Outstanding Response Award, and Procurement Team of the Year, for its joint working with the University of Leicester’s Procurement Team.

The other award nominees include main government departments, the NHS and emergency services as well as large councils, public buying organisations and public/private partnerships, so for the University to be named finalists in three categories is a significant achievement.

James Trotter, Head of Procurement at Loughborough and Director of Procurement for the University of Leicester said: “All credit to the team, they’ve done it again, times three! And at a time when the pressure has seriously been on.”

The UK National GO Awards will take place on 15 September 2021.
