Meditation to help you switch off from work

As part of the Mind, Body & Soul programme, Organisational Development have been running regular short morning meditations for staff, expertly facilitated by Natalie Steele from the University’s Faith and Spirituality team.

Whilst these sessions are proving to be hugely popular, we are aware a number of staff are struggling to ‘switch off’ from work in the evening whilst working remotely. This can be especially hard for those who may not have a separate space to work, and for those who feel their work and home life has blurred into one. With so many of our homes turned into home offices, drawing a line under our working day can be tricky.

An early evening mediation will not only help you switch off from work, it will enable you to reflect on what went well that day, or move on from a more challenging day. We appreciate for some this may clash with other out of work commitments so we will record the session for you to listen at your own convenience.

Our end of the day reflection will be on 9 February for 15 minutes. Please book via my.hr. If you have any further queries, please contact Nadine (n.e.skinner@lboro.ac.uk) or Organisational Development (od@lboro.ac.uk).

Additional, midday meditation sessions will be taking place on 26 February and 9 March.
