Consultation on the appointment of the next Vice-Chancellor

Before Christmas, staff and students were asked to what they thought were the most important qualities they would wish to see in the new Vice-Chancellor.

More than 3,000 responses were received – thank you to all of those who took the time to complete the survey and give their comments.

Following on from the consultation, a number of focus groups will be held to explore in more detail the key themes that have been identified. The Joint Committee of Council and Senate that has been convened to lead the search for the next Vice-Chancellor will be considering this valuable feedback as part of the process leading up to the final appointment.

The table below shows the ranking in order of preference given by the four main groups in the student and staff community, together with the number of respondents.
